  • Reservation details — name, phone, email, party size, seating preference, special occasion, notes.
  • Order details — name, phone, email, pickup time, items ordered, order notes, and (if you choose to pay online) tokenized payment information processed securely by Stripe. Tony Hibachi never sees or stores your full card number.
  • Website usage — basic analytics such as page views, browser type, and timezone, used to keep the site fast and reliable.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To confirm, modify, or remind you about reservations and orders.
  • To send transactional updates (order ready, table held, schedule changes) via SMS, email, or phone — only when you provide your contact details for that purpose.
  • To improve service quality, kitchen timing, and dining-room flow.
  • To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

How you opt in: You consent to receive SMS messages from Tony's Hibachi when you (a) start a conversation with us through the chat widget on this website and provide your mobile number when prompted, or (b) provide your mobile number while completing a booking on our online reservation, online ordering checkout, or gift-card pages (powered by SenseBS). Consent is not a condition of purchase — you can always email or call us instead. We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise transfer your mobile number or SMS opt-in consent to third parties for marketing purposes.

Message types: Reservation confirmations, table-ready alerts, pickup-ready notifications, order status updates, customer-care replies to messages you initiate via the chat widget, and occasional promotional offers (only if you separately opt in to marketing).

Message frequency: Approximately 2–8 messages per month, depending on how often you visit or order.

Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opt out: Reply STOP to (410) 552-1599 at any time to unsubscribe from future SMS messages. You'll receive a final confirmation message and no further texts will be sent.

  • Telecommunications carriers — for delivering SMS notifications you've opted into.

We may also disclose information if required by law (e.g. subpoena, court order, tax audit).

6. Data Retention

Reservation and order records are retained for as long as needed to fulfill the booking and for legal/accounting purposes. Marketing contact data is retained until you opt out.
